Material Handling

Material handling includes:

• Unloading your freight when it arrives at the venue
  
• Delivering it to your booth
  
• Moving empty crates to storage during the event
  
• Returning your empty crates after the show
  
• Delivering your packed freight back to the dock for outbound shipping
  

You do not need to be present when your freight arrives — we take care of it.

If your booth materials arrive on a pallet, crate, skid, or large shipment, this service makes move-in much easier.

Advanced Warehousing: We receive and store your freight before the event at our warehouse.

Material Handling: We move your freight once it arrives at the event venue.

No. Material handling is already included when you use Advanced Warehousing.

When your freight is shipped to our warehouse, we store it and then deliver it directly to your booth during move-in. You do not need to purchase separate material handling for those items. If you are shipping directly to the venue instead of the warehouse, then material handling must be ordered.

Material handling can be ordered once your Exhibitor Kit is available.

Ordering before the advance deadline ensures the best rate and smoothest delivery to your booth.

Shipping gets your freight to the venue address.

Material handling covers what happens after it reaches the dock — unloading it, moving it to your booth, storing empties, and returning it to the dock after the show.

In many cases, you can hand-carry smaller items that you can move in one trip. Larger items, pallets, or anything needing equipment (like a pallet jack or forklift) must be handled through material handling. Some venues or events have additional rules about hand-carrying—check your Exhibitor Kit or ask us if you’re unsure.
